William Kramer

William ("Billy") Kramer is an attorney with nearly two decades of legal experience. At the Law Offices of Scott B. Shapiro, P.C., he represents clients in Workers’ Compensation, Entertainment Law, Intellectual Property, and Business Law matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Billy served as an associate attorney at several Chicago law firms and operated his own legal practice. He also served as General Counsel and Head of Operations for a private investment management firm, where he advised on corporate, securities, partnership, and operational matters.

Throughout his career, Billy has advised his clients in a variety of transactional and legal affairs including licensing and management agreements, protecting intellectual property rights and guiding companies through commercial transactions and operational matters. His clients have included nationally recognized recording artists, entrepreneurs and creative businesses. Drawing on both legal and business experience, he provides practical counsel designed to support long-term growth and protect his clients' interests.

In addition to his legal practice, Billy has held leadership roles within the Chicago legal and entertainment communities, serving as both Chair and Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Media & Entertainment Committee. He also provides pro bono legal services through organizations supporting artists and creative professionals.
